it's me!
Hi, I'm Jamie! I am a year-round iced coffee girl, a Polar seltzer addict, and if you’re the type to stop and say “look at the moon!”, you are my kind of people.
When I’m not behind the camera, I'm snuggling my two cats (Munchkin + Belly, 11-year-old sisters I adopted as kittens!), walking on the beach, scoping out a new brewery, or throwing back some oysters near a lighthouse.
Full-on car jam sessions on the way to your photos with a freshly updated playlist? Absolutely. Blasting your favorite songs while you run, dance, or twirl during your session? If you're into it! My goal is to make your photos feel more like hanging out or a fun date night than a photoshoot.
I'm an unwavering LGBTQ+ ally & all open-minded people are welcome here. Love is love and your story deserves to be shared.
Because real, unfiltered, genuine laughter makes for the best photos and the best memories.
Between you and your person, but also between us - no one wants someone who feels like a stranger waving a camera in their face.
Growing up, my mom documented everything with her Pentax film camera, filling up album after album. She always encouraged me to get into photography and art: I earned the "Most Artistic" superlative in high school, we painted rocks and sunsets while camping every summer, and my favorite gift as a teenager was my dark green Nikon Coolpix (it had a touchscreen!)
When my dad passed a few years ago, we pulled those albums out to look through together. My dad hated having his photo taken more than the average guy, but because of my mom's innate need to capture moments as they happened, we are so lucky to have all these treasures to hold on to forever: silly faces, beach trips, backyard birthday parties, holidays, graduations, you name it.
let's document it all!
I 100% inherited this trait from her - I feel a deep pull and natural instinct to capture emotions and memories through photographs, and I always have.
A lightbulb went off the day those albums were spread out on our table. It was so clear that this is my passion. This all occurred right as I was exiting a decade of bedside nursing, which has also wildly impacted my perspective. I know just how important it is to have something to hold onto when it's all you have left.
I’m drawn to capturing true love and days full of real connection, laughter, all of the in-between moments - and I’ll always be so honored to preserve these moments in time for you.
"Jamie is incredibly kind, prepared, professional and flexible. She takes her work so seriously and she's also just a genuinely nice person. When you think about it, you really DO spend quite a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day, so you want it to be someone like Jamie. Seriously go check out her Instagram, my photos aren't the only ones that look this good!"
