the experience
You might be feeling worried about how you'll be able to feel comfortable, present, and like yourself on your wedding day.
I'm also an extroverted introvert, dedicated cat mom of 2, and will never say no to a walk on the beach or a ferry ride.
I love spend time curating Spotify playlists that are for ultra specific moods, like "on my way to cry at a lighthouse" and "saturdays are for bagels." I am also a certified former emo kid (mom, it was never a phase.) There is a 100% chance I'll be jamming in the car on my way to take your photos!
I've been a camera girlie since my mom taught me how to fumble around with her Pentax after I took a film photography class in 6th grade. Growing up, she was snapping photos of everything. My dad and a lot of my family hated having their photos taken, and there were lots of birds flipped in attempted candids. But literally thousands of her photos are in albums: of course all the big stuff, but also so many tiny moments - the goofing off, the belly laughs, all the in-betweens. Some of these photos are all we have left of loved ones including my dad.
I grew up learning that everything is worth documenting, and that someone's gotta be the one to get behind the camera to make sure all of these fleeting moments get captured and are frozen in time forever.
happy you're here!
I am a big fan of glitter gel pens, pink sunsets, a real solid crab rangoon, and always saying "look at the moon!"
My two biggest pieces of advice:
1. Be comfortable.
2. Wear something that is very you.
Neutrals and earth tones always photograph well, but I'm not here to dull your shine if you're big into bold colors.
I recommend avoiding big logos, pinstripes, and clothes that fit poorly.
I offer a complimentary engagement session to help ease your nerves and boost confidence before your wedding day. Plus it’s an awesome opportunity for us to get to know each other, so I don’t feel like a stranger on your big day.
So sooo many. You can see a short list of my favorites on the services page. And all clients are more than welcome to pick my brain about the places I’ve shot at before so we can find the perfect spot for you!
Totally! All (friendly) pups & cats & pets of all sorts are welcome and highly encouraged! Big animal lover here. I do recommend bringing an extra set of hands to keep your pal company for the part that's just for you two.
