Here's the secret to great photos: Whether you're taking posed shots with your bridal party or I'm snapping candids of laughs with your favorite people,
The more present you feel → the better the photos.

But the thing is, in order to be fully present, you have to feel comfortable first. This is why it's not just my job to take any ol' photo - it's my job to take pictures where you feel 100% free to be your full self: whether thats shy or bold, quiet or loud, or somewhere in between.

My photography style is a balance of providing interactive collaboration and knowing when to step back to allow for the natural, candid moments to unfold seamlessly during your day. I use a mix of basic poses/prompts to nail the classics (like the photos grandma wants to frame), other fun prompts to spark real laughter and authentic reactions, and creating space for you to interact while I photograph from a distance. I often shoot through the in-between moments because they're purely unscripted, and they tend to end up as some of my favorites :)
I like to describe my editing style as vibrant. I love a pop of color! I keep my tones pretty true to life, but like to lean a little into warmth and color if the environment calls for it. I am a huge lover of black and white edits as well, so I always add in a healthy mix of those to every gallery.
I include a complimentary engagement session (up to 1.5 hours of coverage) with my wedding packages that include 6 hours or more of photography coverage. This is redeemable in southern Maine / the Greater Portland area.
For my non-Maine-based couples, I recommend scheduling this during one of your trips up here for other wedding-related errands. If you'd like me to travel elsewhere for your engagement session, let's talk about it and come up with a plan!!
This is a service I've offered since I first started wedding photography. Since then, I've been told by so many couples just how helpful it was for them to have their engagement session with me before their wedding. Couples who were worried about feeling "awkward" or "nervous" told me they felt way less intimidated, less anxious, and much more able to act more like themselves on their wedding day. One couple told me, "It was like a friend showed up amongst all our other vendors that day." Because of this, I genuinely feel it is a service worth offering.
This engagement session is not transferable to other services or hours of coverage, and it must be redeemed prior to your wedding day.
I do offer a discounted rate at $400 for couples who are booking a smaller wedding package but still want to do an engagement session. An engagement session is valued at $495 à la carte.

My services are available throughout Maine and New England, and I will happily travel further for the right fit!
I include the first 50 miles of travel (and count most places in the greater Portland area within that range). For travel beyond this, I have a nominal travel fee based on mileage.
I do include all travel fees in my Acadia packages for your convenience.
Yes! My 8 and 10-hour wedding packages already include a second photographer.
A second photographer can be added to other packages (intimate weddings, elopements, my 6-hour wedding package) at a flat rate of $800. This will be a trusted member of my team, and I will always edit and process all of your final images myself.
Each of my clients receives a same week sneak peek (8-10 photos for sessions, 30-40 photos for weddings)
For proposals, I promise a sneak peek within 24 hours so you can share your excitement right away!
The guaranteed turnaround time listed in my contract is the maximum time that may be required during peak season, but I am often able to deliver galleries earlier:
Weddings + Elopements: Within 12 weeks
Portraits + Engagements: Within 4-6 weeks
All the animals, please!!! However, some photo locations I frequent do NOT allow pets, dogs off-leash (common for beaches from April-October), or dogs in general (bird sanctuaries, etc). If you want to bring your pet, please let me know so we can we come up with the best plan for you and your pal(s)!
No, I do not currently offer film as a service.
However, I often bring my Instax camera to sessions to snap instant photos (no extra charge + no set deliverables)
I do love to shoot film for personal use, so this may be something I offer in the future. Stay tuned!
